The following are photos of the newly completed xeriscape/desertscape at 1389 Primavera Dr E (on the corner of our entrance drive and Primavera). The purpose of xeriscaping is to provide lower water usage and less maintenance by using native desert plants.

If you live adjacent to a rental property that is overly noisy, obnoxious, etc., the City of Palm Springs has established a complaint hotline to handle these issues.

 

 

A reminder... (ya' can't fix what ya' don't know about!)

 

The guards at the front gate have reported that they are seeing an increasing number of high(er) speed exits from the complex, and that many cars are either not stopping at all or making only rolling stops at the exit.

The 2012 Annual Board Meeting was held this past Saturday, April 14th. The successful candidates elected to the 4 Director vacancies on the Board were Jan Darlington, Jan Hurley and Randy Shotwell (all incumbents).  Joining them is new Director, Robert (Bob) Semes, a first time member to the DWR Board. We congratulate and thank all of them for their volunteer time to help manage Deep Well Ranch!

 

In a brief Executive Session of the newly elected Board following the Annual Meeting, Randy Shotwell was elected as President, Gary Jennings as Vice President, Jan Hurley as Secretary and Georges Dupont-Roc as Treasurer.

UPDATE: 1100pm, Tuesday, Mar 20th:
Mary Jo is at home and is getting around and, of course, visiting Toni daily. Toni has been moved into the "Skilled Nursing Unit" at Desert Regional and is doing somewhat better.  She is still in a great deal of pain but was able to sit in a wheelchair for 2+ hours the other day. Toni's date to come home is still unknown.

Toni is doing well though she is more pain than yesterday primarily because the nurses are making Toni move around in the bed a bit.  Mary Jo is getting around pretty well and could be coming home today (Sunday) or tomorrow.

Mary Jo is doing OK, but will be in the hospital for another day or two  Toni will remain in ICU for a while and is in lots of pain, but not getting worse. Mary Jo is in room 3517 at Desert Regional (760-323-6511).

DWR homeowners Mary Jo Knuth and Toni Mannino (1210 Primavera Dr W) were in a serious automobile accident on Thursday, March 8th.  Both are in Desert Regional Hospital. Toni is in the Intensive Card Unit (ICU) and is in serious but stable condition;  Mary Jo has broken ribs and other injuries and is in a regular hospital room and may be coming home soon.
